A workspace for the work itself.

M Code is an original, local-first desktop development environment built around a workspace, a conversation, and the work an agent actually performs.

The current implementation combines an editor and file explorer with typed actions, approval controls, and run trees that show tool arguments, results, and model replies. Its Electron renderer uses a narrow IPC bridge for host capabilities.

The harness is the next public chapter: a way for builders to explore agent tasks, understand outcomes, and contribute useful experiments. The public release package and publication workflow are still being prepared.

The next chapter

From agent work to inspectable outcomes.

Tasks, actions, results, and the path between them. The harness release is being prepared for the community.

Getting started

The public distribution and source release are being prepared. There is no public download or repository linked here yet.

For now, explore the project overview and the harness direction. Once a public package is ready, this page will carry the supported installation path, first task, license, and limitations.

Leave a way in.

We are preparing a starting point for task authors, developers, and people who enjoy diagnosing failures.

The first contribution paths will focus on clear task definitions, useful failure reports, documentation, and independently reproduced outcomes. Contribution submissions are not open on this page yet.
